kSacco Cooperative Banking & Credit Terms.

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the kSacco Member Portal, Mobile App, and SACCO Management Platform operated by Kola Technologies Ltd. across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

1. Introduction

Accessing the service means accepting these cooperative terms.

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the kSacco website, Member Portal, and mobile application experience. By registering or accessing our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and your SACCO's registered by-laws.

2. Member Eligibility

Members and borrowers must meet regional KYC requirements.

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You must hold a valid government-issued National ID (Kenya National ID, Uganda NIN, or Tanzania NIDA).
  • You must have a registered Mobile Money account (M-Pesa, MTN Mobile Money, or Airtel Money) in your legal name.
3. Savings & Loan Applications

All deposits and credit approvals follow strict cooperative governance.

  • All loan applications are subject to credit scoring, share/savings multiplier rules, and SACCO Credit Committee approval.
  • By applying, you authorize your SACCO to verify your credit standing with licensed Credit Reference Bureaus (CRB) in your jurisdiction.
  • Approved loans are disbursed directly to your registered Mobile Money wallet (M-Pesa / MTN / Airtel) or Bank Account.
4. Transparent Pricing & Audit Trail

Costs and ledger records are 100% transparent before acceptance.

  • All interest rates, processing fees, and insurance charges are clearly displayed in a Key Fact Statement before you accept any loan.
  • Every deposit, loan disbursement, and repayment is recorded in an Unchangeable Audit Trail and confirmed via Instant SMS Alerts.
5. Repayment & Guarantors

Fair guarantor protection and structured recovery.

  • When a fellow member guarantees a loan via digital SMS consent, only the exact pledged guarantee amount is encumbered.
  • Failure to repay on schedule may result in late payment penalties, CRB reporting, and recovery in accordance with cooperative society laws.
6. Electronic Signatures & Governing Law

Regulated across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Clicking "Accept," "Activate Member Account," or "Submit" constitutes a binding electronic signature under applicable East African electronic transactions legislation and supervisory frameworks (SASRA in Kenya, UMRA in Uganda, and TCDC in Tanzania).
